Who I Am

I am an artist, writer, mom, wife, Buddhist, and nature lover who loves connecting people with nature for creative inspiration.

Nature, referring to both the natural world and one’s own, inner nature. The opportunity to establish this concept in a way that blends two of the things I love most—nature and creative expression—has been the highlight of my career so far. It is a wonderful opportunity to be able to help others expand their creative presence and share their gifts inspired by nature, of which I am most grateful to be a part!

I would love to meet you and learn more about YOU! I am inspired by many things: nature, the "treasures" I find in desert junk piles, oddities, the night sky, and music to name a few, but it is the people I meet who often inspire me! Feel free to contact me with any questions, to schedule a creativity workshop for your group, or to  request one-on-one creativity guidance sessions.

Let nature be your muse!

My Background

A life-long artist, I was always encouraged and inspired to live a creative life since I was a child. Creative expression was a given in our family and has been a continuous part of my life--mainly through art, writing, and photography.

I am a found art/mixed media assemblage artist, creating art primarily from found metal parts collected while junking in the desert (picking up junk--not dumping!). I love opportunities to integrate natural, metal, and re-purposed materials in unexpected ways, creating an eclectic style. I also make jewelry, paint, draw, create mini-installation pieces,  enjoy photography and incorporating images into my work. I recently discovered a creative release through altered playing cards (APC's) and ATC's (artist "trading" cards). I am an enthusiastic participant in Rosa Murillo's Found Art Tuesday project in which I leave some of my pieces in public places and on nature trailheads for people to find!

In my effort to become uniquely instrumental in helping fellow creatives find their creative calling, I became a certified (creativity) coach through the Coach Training Alliance (CTA), a top 10, International Coach Federation (ICF) accredited coach training program. I also have an A.S. in Botany and a B.A. in Anthropology that began a museum career devoted to natural history exhibitions and public outreach that allowed me to express myself through loads of writing, some photography, and creative programming before ultimately dedicating my passion into becoming a full-time artist and writer.
