Express Yourself!

Discover the mandala as a source of creativity, inspiration & insight during this 4-week long artistic journey. You will create your own mandalas while you learn their significance, how to use them as a creative tool, and as an inviting source of creative play. 

You do not need to be an "artist" to benefit from this series! This is about the creative process and how YOU express yourself through your creative mind. No rules, no rights, no wrongs. It's creative fun, it's you! It's about opening yourself up to tantalizing self-discovery and creative exploration. If you have any doubts to your abilities, I safely predict that you will be inspired by your own beautiful, artistic mandala creations that will emerge! More importantly, the opportunity to experience energizing moments of personal revelation and creative empowerment will bring an alternative source of creative inspiration to your daily life.

We will meet once a week, as a group, for four weeks of insightful class gatherings while we dive into each week's hands-on creative activity. I will cover instructions and offer guidance about each week's assigned mandala exercise(s) of which you will finish at home at your own pace.  Our mandalas will pull from a variety of creative expressions such as drawing, painting, coloring and/or writing and/or photography and/or mixed media, etc. No experience needed. Between classes you are encouraged to find a place to create, sip tea and enjoy some personal time filled with inspiration, fun, and creative expression--yes, it’s in you! 

In addition to our class time, participants should expect to spend an average of 4 hours per week for each weekly exercise. You are expected to rightfully prioritize your creative time--it will prove a positive benefit to all areas of your life. This 4-week series is available as either an "on-site" class or via tele-class (telephone class). Please see the schedule below for upcoming dates and times.

Definitions of mandala:

• Symbol representing self or the self and inner harmony (Jungian)
• In Buddhism and Hinduism, a geometric or pictorial design usually enclosed in a circle, representing the entire universe, used in meditation and ritual. 

For a visual, imagine a mandala can be based on the spokes of a wheel, a geometric design, a flower, the spiral, a spider's web, or a layered circle. In this class, with each mandala-inspired work you create, you will discover just how unique each mandala becomes. Its design is limitless, and it will come to represent an infinite direction of possibilities brought together by each component as they fit together to create harmony.
